Problems With Sexual Interference in Canada and Why It Needs to Stop

Sexual Interference Has Become a Massive Problem in Canada

The number of sexual assaults in Canada has been on a steady rise over the past few years. In 2017, there were over 20,000 reported cases of sexual assault in Canada.

The Canadian government has taken steps to try to reduce the number of sexual assaults and crimes against people by investing more money into law enforcement and educational programs.

One such program is called "It's Never Okay", which is an educational campaign that focuses on teaching young children about consent, healthy relationships and how to report abuse.

This program aims at educating children before they become adults so that they can make better choices when it comes to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others.

Sexual Harassment Issues with Employer's Policies & Practices

Sexual harassment is a form of unlawful discrimination that violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It is unacceptable for any company to have policies and practices that allow sexual harassment to occur in the workplace.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) defines sexual harassment as "unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature." Sexual harassment may be blatant or subtle and can include offensive jokes, unwanted touching, pressure for dates, comments about a person's body or gender-based clothing choices, and more.

There are many ways in which employers can prevent sexual harassment from occurring in the workplace. The first step is to adopt an anti-sexual harassment policy that clearly states what behaviors are not tolerated within the workplace.

The Impact of Sexual Harassment on the Victim's Mental Health

Sexual harassment is a form of gender-based violence that occurs when someone makes unwanted sexual advances, requests sexual favors, or engages in other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

Sexual harassment can have severe effects on the mental health of the victim. They may experience depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and other psychological disorders.

The victim may also lose their job due to their inability to work in an environment where they are constantly being sexually harassed.

Sexual Harassment at the Hands of Youth

Sexual harassment is a pervasive issue in our society. It is not just an issue that affects adults; it also affects children who are in school. One of the most shocking examples of sexual harassment among youth is the recent case of a 12-year-old girl being raped by her classmate during recess at school, and then being told she was “asking for it”. This case highlights how children can be victims to sexual harassment as well.

We must take steps to address this problem by educating young people about their rights and teaching them how to report any incidents when they happen. We cannot allow this problem to continue without taking action now!

Canada's Paradigm Shift Towards Male-Female Gender Equality?

In Canada, the national discourse on gender equality has shifted from a focus on women’s rights to an emphasis on the need for men to change their behaviour.

The Canadian government is taking a more active role in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. In 2016, Prime Minister Trudeau announced that he was creating a cabinet with an equal number of men and women ministers. This was seen as a landmark move towards gender equality in the federal government.

Canadian society is now undergoing a paradigm shift towards achieving male-female gender equality.
